I remember there being more, did they shorten the number of essays required?
These were the other ones from last year:

Professionalism and respect in the community in which you live is of utmost importance in medical school and as a physician. What three professional qualities do you believe a Student Doctor must demonstrate and describe how you will demonstrate these qualities as a medical student at VCOM?

How do your professional ambitions align with osteopathic medicine?

What influenced your decision to apply to VCOM? (e.g., personal or medical experiences; influences of friends/family/physicians/mentors; etc.)

Have you had any lapse of 2 years or greater in taking full-time college-level coursework?

Have you attended any VCOM Virtual or In Person Event including a Virtual Physician Event, Alumni Events, Diversity Events. If so, please list the event and what you gained from the experience.

I suppose so. Maybe they felt it was too much?

Gotcha, thanks so much. You were able to log into the app and it was just these 4 below?

Yes, just those two main ones and then the ones about past applicants.

I submitted 6/20 and am still on screen review. Anyone else?? I don’t understand this

My app was still on Screen Review even when I received an interview invite (and actually still shows that status).

If you received the "your application is complete" email notification, I would say it's safe to assume you are all set.

Just got the email that my app was completed and I'm now in review for an interview. Met with admissions today though (virtually) and they told me that 97% of their interviews are done in-person and they rarely, if ever, do virtual interviews.

Anyone else get invited to lunch with an admissions rep? I have never heard of this
Hi! I'm a current OMS-1 and did this last year. I had never heard of this either but it was really nice actually. It was a group of about 8 people at Panera. They provided dinner and the admissions rep just gave us a mini presentation on the school and we got to ask any questions we had. We also got some free merch after too

Not a part of any EDP, I was submitted early June, I believe my LM is 69
Okay gotcha - my LM is, I think, 64. However, I have very strong leadership, extracurriculars, LOR, and clinical experience so I'm hoping that brings my chances up a bit.

Application complete email 8/21

Anyone attending the interview session next Wednesday, 8/27?

What is interview day like? I see that you can't bring anyone on interview day? Did anyone's parents come or is it just the applicants the whole day?

Don't bring your parents to a medical school interview. Invite them to your white coat ceremony after you're accepted.

I interviewed last week (still awaiting a decision) and it was actually really enjoyable. Interviews are in-person so anticipate having to plan for travel if necessary. The day starts around 9/930am and goes until about 2pm. My interview day had 4 other interviewees and we started with an overview presentation of VCOM-Virginia. After that we had our individual interviews which were about 45 minutes long and conducted with two interviewers. We had about 30 minutes of getting asked questions and 15 minutes of getting to ask questions. We then had a group interview followed by a tour of campus and Blacksburg. Ended the day with a conclusion presentation about next steps. Feel free to PM if you have any other questions, happy to help however I can!

Thanks! I interviewed on 8/26.
My application was complete on 7/28 and got the interview invite ~2 weeks later
Great! That was a fast turnaround! What are your stats? Are you in-state?
