We are now accepting applications from residents and medical students for the prestigious SEAS 2025 Lou Martin Award. This award is presented to three residents or medical students who have been selected to present at the annual meeting. Submissions are judged on content, creativity/originality, relevance, thoughtfulness, and educational impact. Award winners will receive an honorarium that helps to fund travel and lodging expenses. Award winners will be presented with the award in a ceremony at the meeting.

Submissions should be uploaded using the online form:

SEAS 2025 Lou Martin Award Submission

Please upload your submission as a Powerpoint file (see provided template). Separately, please send a talk that is recorded on Zoom or similar software (use the Record button) with you presenting your Powerpoint.

Submission may include a case report, a case series, or a research or clinical update of a topic in interventional radiology.

The presentation should be no more than 12 slides with the suggested slide formats:

Slide 1: Title slide - include name, your year of training, institution
Slide 2: Disclosures - if you have any financial, intellectual, or ethical disclosures that could represent a conflict for your presentation

Case report/case series:

Slide 3: Patient presentation(s) (include history and any relevant history & physical information, including history of present illness, past medical/surgical history, and labs)
Slide 4: Relevant imaging - include any relevant CT's, MRI's, or prior studies
Slide 5: Diagnosis with potential treatment options (including the option pursued)
Slides 6-8: Relevant images from the procedure
Slide 9: Follow-up/outcome
Slides 10-11: Literature review
Slide 12: References

Research/clinical update:

Slides 3-4: Introduction and background
Slide 5-6: Review of relevant literature
Slides 7-8: Relevant case examples, imaging, tables
Slides 9-11: Results/discussion
Slide 12: Take home points

PLEASE ENSURE NO PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION / PATIENT DATA IS INCLUDED IN THE PRESENTATION. This includes information that may be present on an image but "cropped" out - please note that this information is still encoded in the file.

Cine images should be encoded as an animated GIF or a universal file format that can work on any PC or Mac.

The presentation should be no more than 10 minutes. Please be prepared to answer questions from the audience.

Submissions will not be accepted after that date/time.
