Hey guys, so I've been studying hardcore for the DAT for the past three months and I finally took it today. I'm not too happy with my scores and was wondering if I should retake it.

PAT: 21 (87.9%)
QR: 19 (91.2%)
RC: 25 (97%)
Bio: 20 (88%)
GC: 20 (79.8%)
OC: 18 (59.7%) 🙁
TS: 19 (75%)
AA: 20 (87.6%)

Even though I've done numerous practice tests, my biggest issue was time. I spent so long on the genchem section that I ended up with less than 20 minutes for Ochem. I had to randomly guess on 5-10 questions and it hurt my score pretty badly. For the QR section, the multiplication button on my calculator literally stopped working for a minute and I freaked out and missed two problems that I could have gotten right. However, I had a serious time issue with QR as well because I had at least 11 unattempted problems (that I randomly guessed on) when time ran out. Thank god, I miraculously got interesting and easy RC passages. My RC score always varied significantly on my practice tests depending upon the passages so I guess I just got lucky this time.

I have yet to take many upper level science classes so I'm estimating my GPA to be around 3.6 by the time of applications. So the ultimate question is, should I retake the DAT and try to bring it up to a 21/22 or should I leave it as it is and hope for the best?

Have you been drinking? This scores are amazing. You will get into a dental school. That is the purpose of taking the dat right? Who cares what you scores as long as you get in

Please give me whatever you are smoking, as I'm sure it would relieve some of my DAT studying stress. Your scores are just fine. You must be comparing them to the scores people post where they get straight 30's. You have to realize those are extremely rare cases, and majority of people score around 17's. Also, it IS the internet so people could be fudging their numbers. Anyhow you did just fine, could you please post a breakdown of your materials used and how you felt they related to the test?

You did very well in RC, I'm struggling with RC. I don't know what methods to use, etc. HELP 🙁
