I did well with my academic average and total science scores but terribly on the PAT section. How much do you guys think this will affect me? I would really appreciate your input.

holy **** your AA is amazing. i dont know what to say about your pa score. its really low and usually looked at heavily by most schools. i think you should retake, even if you did slightly below what you go this time a 22/22/18 or 19 looks better than what you have already

Holy ***** this sucks dude.... i can feel ur pain man... but 15 on PAT is on a very low side... if I were u I would call the schools and check with them...

wow... really sad that youll have to retake cause of that stupid PAT.

A 15 PAT will hinder your chances dramatically. A retake is most likely required. Sorry man 🙁

if I was you, I wont retake. Last year I scored 21/19/14 (TS/AA/PAT) and had to retake because my advisor and lots of schools said anything below a 15 is total retake. I would rather calm down and wait for interviews. At the same time u must have a legit reason to explain wat went wrong. With that being said it is up to you. If your dream schools are for example like UoP, that care a lot about PAT, then u may wanna give a second thot. I am very certain that most state/ private schools will send u interview request, provided your GPA is 3.7+!

Where are you located?

If you are located in TX, schools here could care less what you get on PAT.

Like the other person said, I would just call the schools and double check. If you dont have to re-take it, awsome, if you do, at least you know you have the academic's on lockdown. Great job by the way!

instead of asking a bunch of pre-dents (who are not admission experts by any means) what you should do about the most important test of your pre-dentistry life, I believe a few phone calls to your favorite schools would serve you better.

However, I do believe some of the schools aren't going to mind THAT much cause of that monstrous AA and TS (which by the way YOU TOTALLY ROCKED)

Good luck to ya, I hope you don't have to retake
