So this is my 2nd attempt at pharmacy school. I did 6 years of it and just exited with another degree because I coudnt pass the final year subject. Why did it take me 6 years out of a 4 year degree. I failed the practical subjects 3 times, (it was hard) and when you fail the prac subject Prac A, it is a prerequisite for further prac subjects Prac B, for Prac C which I again failed 3 times. I am now going into my 1st year of pharmacy school thhis year again. Pls give me any advice you can

Outside of the horrible state the pharmacy profession is presently in, there are other careers that are likely more aligned with your skill set and knowledge. I would advise you to consider them.

I don't live on the us so the job outlook is pretty stable here

Radiology technologist at a community college----> then MRI tech

You will make 70k-90k/yr with ZERO student loan.

so you'll be in school at minimum for 10 years for a 4 years degree? ermmmmmm does pharmacists make that much in Australia or you just don't think you can do anything else

I am not in debt, In Australia the government subsidises the fees until you work full time and have to pay it back. Thats why I think I can do this as a career.

I don't fully understand Australian higher education but this sounds like you're in debt and just not required to pay yet?

Regardless, pharmacy doesn't sound like the right fit for you. Why are you so set on it?

Op, here is the brutal truth, Prac A and Prac C *three* times. It is clear you do not have the right mind to be a pharmacist. Nothing wrong with that. I don't have the right mind to be an engineer, and I certainly don't have the right body to be basketball player. We all have our strengths, and you need to find a career where you can use those strengths.

Unless something major has changed (like you were a drug addict during pharmacy school before and have since cleaned up), there is no reason to expect different results this time around. Even if you struggle through pharmacy school, you may find yourself unable to pass your licensing exam. And do you think you would really be happy doing a job each that would probably also be a struggle for you?

Do you career research on-line, talk to a career counselor, figure something else out. 6 fails in pharmacy school says pharmacy is not for you.
