so last year I graduated with my bachelors and animal science from Texas A&M. I applied to three veterinary schools last cycle and got an interview for the royal veterinary college. I only applied to three schools last cycle simply because a lot was going on in my life and my mental health just wasn’t stellar. Since graduating, I have been working as a veterinary assistant add a clinic that both accepts general and emergency cases. I also went to South Africa two weeks ago to study alongside wildlife veterinarians and I’m currently taking some classes out of community college to boost my GPA. What are my chances and what should I do? Also, what are some holistic veterinary schools I should look into

My stats:
3.49 overall gpa
3.40 science
3.22 last 45

Vet hours:

3000+ small animal ( 2 years ICU student tech, shadowing at VEG, assistant at a general practice where the Vet specialized in orthopedic surgery, 1 year assistant at emergency/general)

30 exotic ( general practice & south africa)

5 large animal ( South Africa)

Animal experience:

400 large animal ( hlsr intern, horse husbandry intern, FFA, ansc classes, south africa)

400 small ( dog sitting, owning, volunteer)

5 exotic ( wildlife center)

Research: 10 ( South Africa)

1 year pre vet leadership

Your best chances are probably your in-state schools and if you are a Texas resident, you’re lucky to have two. It looks like the average GPA of admitted students was lower at Tech than at A&M, so if you’re a TX resident, I’d be sure to apply to both (or figure out how to meet their requirements if needed). For out of state spots, your experience is good but your GPAs are below average, especially that last 45. It’s not impossibly low by any means, but definitely compare your stats to accepted student stats and apply smartly.
