I know that there are quite a few of us that are confused on the best route to take if we have already taken the DAT with mediocre scores and are retaking the DAT late july or in august.
I emailed UCLA and they sent me this:
Can a D-school look at your application as complete without the second test score and treat you as an applicant with only the first score?
Are most schools like UCLA and start reviewing in September?
When should I e-submit?

Does ADA or AADSAS forward the scores, and only if you release all of your schools?I recommend that you submit your AADSAS application as soon as possible since it takes an average of 6 weeks for processing. Your new DAT scores from July 30th will be forwarded to our office afterward, which will not be a problem since our committee begins to review complete applications in late September. As stated on the school website, DAT score reports are not accepted by fax.
