ok so i'm gonna be needing to take my pics pretty soon... how did you guys do them?

i'm thinking of wearing a shirt and a tie, in front of a light-grey background. i'm having my friend take it for me who is a semi-pro event photographer... would this suffice? thankssss

I don't think it matters as long as you look presentable. My friend took mine with a digi cam and printed them. Nothing special and inexpensive if you do it yourself. At some of my interviews I even saw people with just colored pictures on regular printer paper.

Just give them a passport photo:

Have someone take a picture of you on a white wall, crop a perfect square of you following these guidelines: http://travel.state.gov/passport/gui...ition_874.html, resize to 2"x2", create a 4"x6" image, copy/paste/arrange your 2"x2" six times onto the image, upload to walmart or walgreens, have the 4"x6" printed, and cut your new 4"x6" made up of 6 2"x2" photos. You now have 6 passport photos for <$0.20

I took passport pictures at Walgreens.
It cost $7 something for 4 copies. I wore a dress shirt without a tie.
I felt like being polite to them.

the first time i applied, i took my picture at a passport photo place just wearing whatever i was wearing that day. at my Baylor interview, one of the interviewers asked why i hadn't dressed up or anything.

needless to say, the next time around i put more effort into it. nothing super fancy, but i wore a button up shirt and had my boyfriend take the photo outside in natural sunlight with a nice background. i don't think the photo was a deal-breaker or anything the first time, but i def didn't want any negative attention from something so simple.

Is this really so hard? Just find a non passed-out-drunk photo of yourself on facebook and submit it.

You could show them Ferrari, Blue Steel, Latigra, or if you're feeling it....Magnum!
