I plan on having a 3.0 gpa with decent oat scores and volunteer/experience. Is this gpa still too low to be considered?

Nope...you still have a chance.
Do well on OAT and you should be fine..

yeah definately apply...your GPA is fine...they look at more than that..my gpa and test scores were low and i've already been accepted for the 2011 year and have had 3 interviews...I just demonstrated my dedication to the profession through my work/volunteer experience and did well in my interviews.

Would you mind sharing where you have been accepted already? I'm getting worried because my gpa is low and I had an interview about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. Thank you!

Ash19 and LoneWolf...can you guys post your stats (Ash how'd you get an interview without taking your OAT's...and to which school did you get an interview invite?) How early did you guys apply? GPA? OAT? Lonewolf, which schools invited you for an interview? (Congrats!) I'm in the same boat. GPA a little above a 3.0. I have taken my OAT's, but I'm retaking them in November. And I applied in early September but haven't heard back from anyone....yet.

I did take my OAT but I got a 340 on it so I wasn't too worried about that but my gpa is about 3.2. I applied in late July and I had an interview at PCO on Sept.10 and I have an interview at Nova Oct. 1. I know both of those schools have started accepting people so I'm worried my gpa isn't high enough. I'm sure you will hear from schools soon though. Good luck!
