I had very similar stats to you applying last year. Got a bunch of interviews (10-12) and got accepted everywhere I interviewed. Was on pre-interview hold at western though and then eventually got rejected.. Applied kind of late though and had no ties to the area.

Chances for DO programs excellent!

Low GPA with a downward trend but currently doing a master's program with med school classes.

got a 32 on the MCAT. but GPA is about a 3.18-3.2. SGPA even lower

Chances for DO??

My top choice is Western...but they seem to like high GPA more just based on their competitive candidate stats 🙁

Anyone know people who have gotten into Western with decent MCAT and low GPA??

I'm born and raised in SoCal but I don't know how much that matters...

Your GPA is definitely below their competitive stats but you might as well apply. Your MCAT and local ties will help and you never know till you try.

If you do well in your Master's (assuming it's an SMP?), your chances are pretty good.
