Im having trouble narrowing down my list of schools, I also don't know if I've aimed low enough to have reasonable security that ill get in somewhere. I'm a first time applicant thats been out of school for a couple years. Im a california resident per se but have spent the last year+ in NY

12/10/13 MCAT(retook a 13/9/11)
community college+Univ of Calif s/gpa ~3.2(A(s) towards the end), honors at CC, major in MCDB biochem
starting USC smp.
-~2 years scientific aide experience(paid)(have LOR from state scientist whom I assisted)
-~6 months dental assistant experience+majority of my time as a surgical "hands on" assistant(paid)(have LOR from owner of practice)
-~50 hours shadowing/volunteering abroad
-~300 hours community service/organizing position
-went to helicopter pilot academy before college
-did a lot of traveling as an amateur skater before my body couldn't handle it anymore.. I calculated the probable hours for this... around 24,000.. Is this ridiculous to put in the work/other activities section?

My list

Are you a URM? If not, I'd skip the charitable donations at the following schools due to your GPA: Columbia, UCLA, Dartmouth, Harvard, USC, Sinai, NYU, Northwestern, Cornell, UCSD, and Brown.

you don't think a 4.0 SMP is going to make a difference due to the low UG GPA?
