Hi Everyone,
I’m re-applying to medical school this year and would really appreciate any feedback/suggestions. I am a California resident. I graduated 4 years ago from UCSD and have worked in 2 different labs since. I have strong letters from various people: 2 LORs from two MD/PhDs, 1 from my previous PI (PhD), 1 professor, and another non-science letter.

My stats are:
cGPA: 3.40, sGPA: 3.40, MCAT: 34Q

ECs/Work Experience:
-about 3+ years paid cancer research experience (4 co-author publications + 1 first author publication)
-4 years college basketball
-3 years volunteer with a community outreach program
-Volunteer experience in underserve community abroad
-1 year ER volunteer experience
-Shadowing experience (Oncologist and surgeon) (100hrs)

Here are some schools that I’m planning on applying to. I know my GPA is fairly low, so I plan to apply to both MD and DO schools:

MD "Far Reach" Schools:
UCSD
UCLA
UCI
UC Davis
USC
George Washington University
Loyola University of Chicago
Rush Medical College
Boston University
Michigan State
SUNY downstate
Emory University
Temple University
Albany Medical College
New York Medical College
Albert Einstein
University of Toledo
University of Illinois at Chicago
Thomas Jefferson

MD "Decent chance" schools:
Drexel University
Tulane University
Rosalind Franklin
Pennsylvania State
Louisville
West Virginia
VCU
Vermont
Eastern Virginia
Indiana

DO Schools:
PCOM
NYCOM
Western University
Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
Touro (California)
A.T. Still Arizona

.THANKS!
.

I had the same sGPA, slightly higher cGPA, and same MCAT score as you, and similar ECs. I also applied to the same range of schools and got 8 interviews/3 acceptances/all the rest waitlists. You will be fine! Just apply as early as possible...I was stupid and submitted my AMCAS August 1.
