3.42 university to 2.72 AACOMAS?

So someone earlier told me that I could test out how AACOMAS would calculate my GPA through creating an account. Granted I'm not applying until later, but it's good to be prepared ahead of time. So I plugged all my grades in and AACOMAS calculated a 2.72 non science, 3.2 science, and 2.73 cGPA.

Now, this is odd to me because my university calculates my GPA as a 3.42. Is this normal before grade verification?

I really hope my AACOMAS GPA isn't a 2.73 for some reason... :/

Maybe you forgot to mark the classes that you repeated.

Have you only attended one school? I went to a community college for a year first and then graduated from a university but my university transcript only shows a GPA from classes I've taken there, not classes from the cc. Could that be what's going on?

Does your school give a different value for pluses and minuses? A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, etc in the calculator, so if you got B- grades in some classes, your school might mark those as 3.0 while AACOMAS considers them 2.7. Does that make sense?

Sounds like something is missing here... it would probably be best to contact AACOMAS so they can take a look at your application and suggest solutions.

I've attended one school and taken 133 credit hours with a GPA of 3.42... Grading scale is the same as AACOMAS where an A=4.0, A-=3.7,etc. and I've taken no retakes so far... So weird! I have no idea why it would calculate my grades so drastically different

That's all I could figure that it might be. Pretty easy to hit the wrong drop-down box for a grade.

make sure all the units are correct and what not lol, doubt their calculation would be drastically different

If no retakes and only 1 college, it means user error. There's no chance your GPA is a 3.4 and it plunges to 2.7. You probably inserted some error like "31 units" for a C instead of "3."
