Hey guys. I've sought out help from my advisor on school list and researched each school on my own (via their websites and MSAR). I am looking for any additional commentary/insights. I am also hoping to add four MD reach schools (my MCAT ended up being higher than expected). I submitted my app early July, but will happily tack on a few schools. Thank you in advance for any help! Editing to add: both undergrad and post-bacc were at Ivies.

Stats/background

Age/gender: 24, female
Undergrad GPA: 3.6+ (cGPA is around 3.57)
Post-bacc GPA: 3.49 (career changer- had never done sciences before; upward trend)
MCAT: 35 (11/11/13)
State: MI (but did undergrad and post-bacc in NY)

Work/Activities

-extensive volunteering with educational non-profits (primarily underserved middle and HS students) in undergrad (7 semesters, multiple summer internships in this sector)
-part-time work through duration of undergrad (library- continued this work full time after graduating, lots of archival work, continued to work full time for first half of my post-bacc program)
-writing (poet and essay writer with several published works in national magazines/anthologies; I'm currently working on a novel; I have been writing seriously for over 8 years with thousands of hours put in- have done national competitions and workshops, etc. Also pre-medical writing club 1-2 hours/week during post-bacc)
-running club in college (completed several endurance events including full marathons)
-ER scribe (6 months)
-ER research assistant (three semesters, strong LOR from supervisor- position included shadowing)
-internship in outpatient specialty office (1 semester)
-summer NSF research grant for orgo topic (8 wks, will have published paper)
-additional shadowing in primary care and anesthesiology (40 hrs total)
-I also have a pretty serious illness (not terminal; have taken extensive steps/done sufficient research to mitigate impact it has on my life; well prepared to handle the disease during stressful periods. This will be discussed in secondary diversity/adversity essays and my committee letter writer is aware that it inspired my journey towards med school).
