Has anyone ever seen great results w/ just using first aid and then doing and reviewing as many questions as possible? My date is June 15th and I feel like I have too much stuff. . . I am thinking about just first aid, goljan lectures, and 2000+ questions. . . am I setting myself up for failure?

I did only first aid and questions for step I (a few years ago now, though) and did very well (if it matters, >250). Of course, you have to "do questions" appropriately - i.e. if you get one wrong, figure out why. Not only why the correct answer is the right one but why the incorrect ones are wrong. The wrong answers are usually there for a reason - to make you think about a certain syndrome or alternative situation.

For step II and III I did only questions and also did very well.

I think people can get screwed up by trying to memorize as much minutae as possible - because you can know all the minutae you can but still get a question wrong because you don't know why things are important.

How was your overall performance in medical school during the your 1st and 2nd year? Did you already feel like you knew most of your material cold before starting to review, or did the reviewing process help to jog your memory?

I have had a pretty average career thus far (some subjects I was awesome in, other things I passed, but not with anything to write home about). I am just getting all stressed, which I know I need to stop stressing. I just need to figure something out. . .

3.5 week is plenty of time for a full review. Do a diagnostic if u dont know ur weak spots (nbme, 3 x 50q random qbank blocks, whatever), then plan accordingly. Hit ur weak spots first.

You have time to use the reviews book like BRS path, physio. Leave a few days at the end for review.

I am now thinking of using only BRS path and phys, q bank, and 1st aid so that I can get through each resource multiple times. . . .
