anybody have a list of schools already for 3.56 gpa and 29/30 mcat?
or have any suggestions?

thoughts on my chances of acceptance would also be lovely

extracurriculars:

Volunteer-
200+ hours in hospital
200+ hours elsewhere

Shadow-
60+ hours of shadowing cardiologists, pulmonolgists, and cardiac surgeons

Research-
epidemiology research for one year (and will be continuing for my senior year)

Clubs/activities (not all, but major ones)-
~a cultural dance team
~a health careers club (president/treasurer)
~Global Medical Brigades (leader for a trip, attended two trips, leadership positions)
~a nutritional club (co-chair for Campus Wellness)

Extrapolating from stats on the AAMC 'All Applicants' grid, with a 3.56/29, past applicants had about a 34% chance of an MD acceptance. You might consider holding off on taking the MCAT unless you also plan to apply to DO med schools, or until your practice tests are consistently scored in the 32 range (53% chance) or 35 range (65% chance).

well my thought process was that I just take it (because after this date I am unable to take the mcat until late august due to prior commitments)

and then just let schools receive my updated scores around the time my secondaries are submitted (in the case i do poorly on my actual mcat)

although it sucks, i will continue to study after i take the mcat on june 16th straight until august (the next date i am free to take it) =\

thoughts?
