Hi!
I am on the confused boat. My spring quarter grade won't be on transcript until June 25. I am taking a research class this quarter so i will raise my GPA again. But the question is should i risk appplying on late June to have 3.6 overall and science GPA or just have 3.56
Please don't be mean to me since i know 3.56 is ok grade. I cry easily.

Not that much of a difference. The big difference is applying early. You have permission to cry now.

dont cry and good luck

Apply early. There isn't much of a difference between the two values. Good luck.

June wouldn't be that far after the application acceptance day. If I were you, I would just wait a month and apply with the higher GPA. But I'm a little biased. I'm taking the DAT in August and wont be able to finish the application until after that.

You know you don't have to finish the DAT to submit your app right? Get the app submitted ASAP b/c the grade verification takes forever.
And to the OP, your GPA is good already at 3.56 so send the app in ASAP. Can't you update it later anyways?

I agree send the application ASAP. Then while it is being processed take the DAT and get it sent directly to the designated schools. The DAT score is not going to take as long as the application to get to the schools. There is an opportunity to update the application around dec/jan.

I would apply asap. 3.56 and 3.6 aren't really different. When you start hitting late June, July and August...verification takes FOR EVER due to high volume. AADSAS might lose some paperwork. LORS writers could take forever. Some schools might send you letters saying you didn't take a particular class when you actually did. You would have to solve all these problems before they send you an invite. I say all this to tell you that it might not go so smoothly as you expect.

If I remember correctly, I applied the first week of June and wasn't verified until a month later. I wouldn't wait til August (it took some ppl a good 7 weeks for verification). Keep in mind, schools also take some time to send out invites. Many will also want your fees (will wait for it to clear) and may ask for secondaries. This takes additional time as well before you finally get an interview invitation. Get that early interview. Apply asap. Good luck.

So if you have a tough case with a patient and its not going your way, are you going to cry?
