I am currently waitlisted at one school but not putting all my eggs in one basket. As I am planning my reapp, I am seeking some advice and help! I'll post my stats below with the extracurriculars that I intend to include in my reapp. Any EC with a * are new to this application. Please let me know what you think about specific ECs, any particular schools you think I should apply to that match what I am seeking. I'll add my current school list later.

So I can better understand what do you think happened this cycle? Late application? Didn't apply broadly enough?

The only thing I see is a low sPGA. Clinical volunteering is low in my opinion, but you have other clinical experience. It wouldn't hurt to have more clinical volunteering.

How many hours of clinical volunteering would you say is average? I have about 200 with the nonprofit work I have done, and the 30 hospital hours.

I was late in the cycle (verified in August- secondaries submitted all throughout until late September). I think I applied to too many state schools as well. There is only one state school where I am from (CO), which is tough but it is what it is.

Also, I would take any suggestions for the write-ups. Have any of you had success simply bullet pointing? Or is a descriptive write-up more effective?

Are you talking about the Activities section? I have read that you should just have well-organized paragraphs because some schools use software to reorganize the application and it can mess up formatting like bullet points.

Thanks that's good to know

I second the above poster. Your app looks good. Only thing that may be a problem is the clinical volunteering. What do you think went wrong this cycle?
