  1. Pre-Health (Field Undecided)
Lizzy Score: 69
California Resident:
Well rounded applicant, plenty of hospital, community,
Weak: besides mcat, just 6 months of research, nothing published yet (still in process).

Can someone double check my list and make sure there isn't anything dumb like applying to Oregon when they require a 32 mcat or higher for OOS.
I've cross referenced MSAR for OOS applicants and matriculated
anything to add/remove? and a reason thanks.

Long Shot: (my mcat is low 10th percentile tier)

The University of Vermont
University of California Davis
Virginia Commonwealth

Your long shot schools will appreciate the donation int he form of your application fee, and that's as far as it will go. So, forget about them (except for Tufts, where a 31 is below avg, but not lethally so). I think you can do better than the DC schools.

You're also fine for any DO program, including mine.

Thanks, even with the following information is it still worth while to apply to these new schools that you mentioned?

1) PA Roughly 50% I think I will re-add this to my list.
"We are a private medical school located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. We do give preference to PA residents however we accept applications from qualified residents throughout the United States."

One of our primary goals is to improve the quality of healthcare in Northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA) by increasing the numbers of practicing physicians in NEPA. Our expectation is that applicants who are already residents of PA are more likely to return to this area to practice medicine.

2) Florida (FAU)
Approximately 10 students, however, may be admitted from states other than Florida if they have outstanding academic records, life experiences, and accomplishments that the admissions committee might find highly desirable in meeting our educational goal.

3) Michigan
I am applying to MI's 2 new ones, oakland, western
But for central with only 20% enrollment is it still worth it?
CMED intends to have 80% in-state enrollment and 20% out-of-state enrollment.
