Hey, what do u guys think of my chances?
should i apply now?
got an mcat lined up for july 16, but not sure if august is too late to apply.
as u can see, all my other stuff is borderline as well.

Ec's: 2 scholarship/awards, 250 clinical comm serv, 1 yr shadow, 1 cabintet position, 3 honors societys, 1 internship, cum laude (engineering), senior design.


Overall, I feel like i can do well on the mcat, but verbal seems like a really big toss up. I went :11P,8B,8V

August is not TOOO late to apply... IMO

You can apply now and send in your new score as it comes... if its better than your 27 you will have better chances

even with a 27 you should still apply, and apply broadly... you cant be picky

check out this thread... there are many like you who got in.. so don't be discouraged..

Do any of you guys know if I can apply to some of the easier med school's and DO schools with the low mcat score, and apply to more competitive med school's after I get my august mcat???

Yes you can, and that's probably the best idea o you save yourself money...just in case.
I am in a bad boat too with a former 23 MCAT, but I applied to 5 D.O. schools and only one M.D. school. You can add schools right away once you get your new MCAT score, and are a little more sure of where you stand. Jut make sure your LOR, Transcripts, etc. all are sent so they are ready to go.
