Hey everyone,

I approaching the end of studying week one of six total weeks. Anyways, I have some general questions about the format/day of conditions for the DAT.

1) I understand the calculator on the DAT is simple 4-fuction with a sqrt button as well. Is the calculator good enough to rely on? I've heard from some people that it lags. Is this just at some testing locations?

2) How many wet-erase boards do you get? If you run out of space, can you raise your hand and get another board in the middle of the exam?

3) When it comes to angle ranking, am I always ranking smallest to largest? In one of the prep books I'm using, it is always smallest to largest, but then the practice ones on here change question to question. How will it be on the real thing?

Thanks. Happy studying!

1) calf is ok, it is a little slow.
2) you can raise your hand for another board
3)always smallest to largest

1. My calculator was very fast and reliable and you could punch in numbers if wanted

2 I had two boards front and back graphed raising your hand could take a while for them to give to me but hounding need that much space for sciences and pat and at break you can switch to two new for qr

Hi GoldCrown17,

In case you did not know this prometric centers offer something called a test drive. You can read more about it on the link. I think it is a good idea and if I were taking the DAT it is something I would do and recommend to my students.

Good luck in your studies and on the DAT!

Just to add on, make sure you raise your hand while you're still writing, not after you've actually used it up completely. It might seem trivial, but every second is precious on the real test!
