For those of you currently doing your prelim year or transitional year away from your home program for anesthesiology, have your home programs contacted your prelim program for evaluations? I was told the home program needed 3 month evaluations from your prelim program. I am just wondering cause I still haven't heard back from my home program about this, and not sure how big of a deal it is. I have emailed my home program last week, and waiting for a response.

It is an ACGME requirement.

X2 on the ACGME req.

My advanced program sent out an email this past summer stating that we need our intern programs to send quarterly evals to the coordinator. That's ridiculous if your program isn't getting back to you or replying to emails. I've struggled with the same problem at times. I'm wondering if coordinators at advanced programs feel too busy to deal with off site interns. I'd have your intern coordinator send the evals to the coordinator anyway. Since it's an ACGME requirement, at least you will be holding up to your end of the deal.
