3+ Weeks to go...Need your advise please

Hello Guyz..I badly need some advise here.

Here are the issues -
I have started DIT and will realistically finish it by May 31st. I am also finishing up my 1st run thru Uworld then. I plan to take an NBME after to assess myself.

My issue is: I wont have any time for Goljan audio or book...so will his 100 page high yield notes suffice?
I feel that it would be better for me to review DIT + uworld in last 15 days rather than picking up a new source but after hearing so much about Goljan. I am wondering if I will regret it later.

I can not delay my exam further as I have other commitments and also for the fear of missing deadline for residency match of my year desired.

If I skip Goljan altogether and just focus on DIT + Uworld...Will this atleast get me an average score?? I am only looking for Family Practice or IM.

I would do the HY chapters atleast from Goljan RR, like renal, endocrine,CVS.While it's true that meat if your study now should focus on UW and FA, you don't wanna take any chances.Rest easy, you don't have to complete the whole book cover to cover, just the key chapters.

Focus on material you have picked up,like DIT and ofcourse UW at this point, people usually stay away from new material but RR should not be much of an issue if you have come this far already.

I have the audio transcript that I have been giving out ,you can scroll through the entire thing in like 2 days,lemme know if you are interested!

Thanks Metalrex. I will do as you say, I actually have his audio transcripts as well...I thought his 100 page high yield notes may be better though compared since it covers a wide subject area. Any thoughts?

i dont think you can label those highest yield since the exam varies so much

Kryptik's right, I would steer on side of caution and say that everyone's exam is diff.You can devote like 3 days to tackle RR , during which you can flip through the entire book fast, focus on the pics and stuff.I found renal RR to be kickass cuz he explains those awesome EM,LM photomicrographs. CVS is a good deal too cuz he talks about the heart sounds and why they occur with more depth, endo is great cuz you understand the feedback mechanisms of hormones better.

I would not take a risk totally ignoring RR, but if you are short handed with time then flip through the key concepts of your weaknesses in the book atleast.

and yeah taare, those 100 pg notes should be a cinch after you have done RR or the audio.

Remember: it's impossible to know everything inside out , but its better to know something of everything.Helps you make educated guesses atleast.

Gotcha!!! Will try to run thru Goljan organ system chapters atleast once quickly...It should be nothing new anyway so hopefully i am able to do it in time.
