Hello.
I am a foreign medical grad who graduated about 8 years ago. I'm taking step 1 in 3 weeks and so far took NBME form 1 a month ago and got 390 and took UW assessment form 1 yesterday and got a 400. I was planning on sticking to first aid and hammering down some topics that I'm weak on but I'm not sure if this is the best strategy. I've been working full time, this whole time. I will have 2 weeks off of work starting in a few days. I've gone through UW all the way through and was getting about 60% on the last few blocks. Now I'm scoring about 50% on the incorrect ones.
Do you think I can bring my score up 20 or 30 points in 3 weeks? (I'm guessing it's not possible) My weakest subjects are cell biology and histology and micro and immuno which I know are crammable.
Do I just go for brute force memorization/cramming of my weak subjects?
I have a friend who swears I should just read all of First Aid over and over until the the test and keep doing questions.
