TITLE: Verify App in late June?

Hi, I am taking the MCAT on June 17th, and I plan on submitting the application around June 21st or so (few days after my MCAT).

If you verify AMCAS on June 21st, will it be verified by July 20th? I think that is when my MCAT scores are coming out.

I just need the application verified by July 20th right? Thanks for your help.

If you follow your plan, then your transcripts should be verified by the time your MCAT results are available. The AMCAS 2011 instructions state that verification can take 4-6 weeks, but I have never seen it take this long.

OP--I took my MCAT last year on 6/18, so essentially the same date as you. I submitted on June 20th. If I recall correctly, I was verified well before my MCAT scores came out (early-mid July)...

What I did-- I only applied to my state school; my app was then verified and sent to this state school early-mid July. Then after I received my MCAT score around July 21st, I was able to get a better idea of which schools I'd be competitive at--so I added more schools.

Since you can add additional schools without re-verification, your primaries can be submitted everywhere else (other than state school) by July 23rd-ish.

edit: So I looked through my records, and it turns out I didn't actually submit on those dates (I began procrastinating). However, my advice still stands. Based on last year's results, your verification should take exactly 3 weeks.

Good point. The key information here is that you only need to apply to one school to get the verification process rolling, then you're really just waiting for your MCAT scores to be released (you could submit early June if you wanted to get it out of the way).
