I have 5 weeks to the boards and becuase of school work just started UW, I have been doing 50 questions timed random each day for about 4 days and averaging 36%, am I doomed???. Will my score improve as i review stuff and get used to thier question style? I am an average student by the way. HELP!🙁

most ppl start off in UW doing in the 40% or around there, so dont worry. UW qs are hard and do take some time to get use to. your score will gradually go up if you are learning and studing the material as you go thro the qs

I won't be starting my board studying until the summer, but I for one don't know if taking 50 q's + Random + timed is the best combo. MAYBE 2 out of the 3, but I wouldn't expect stellar scores on material that you haven't covered.

Perhaps try cutting down to 25 q's and doing the question untimed. Or, try and tailor the questions to recent topics that you've been studying, to make sure that you've mastered that set of information.

Without having seriously studied/sat for the boards, this is the best information i can pass along based on what i've seen/read from others on this forum. best of luck.

I will love to do less questions but with 5 weeks to go i will not be able to finish them if i do less, i must say that i am really learning a lot from my wrong answers, I just hope my scores will inch up.

I'm sure that they will. Just stick to it. When i mentioned doing blocks of 25 questions, it was with the intention of doing multiple blocks to make sure that you see enough questions. I personally think I will start off with untimed blocks of 25, and as it gets closer to test date, then bump it up to 50.

Can anyone else comment on that approach?
