Exactly. There're only 4 sets of tests at the Prometric Testing Centers, where two or more of these tests share some common questions. And the amount of new problems coming is minimal (~10 new questions from each section and each year and yet for beta testing only). The three month period, to the ADA, will be long enough to prevent retakers from gaining prior knowledge of the test content and hence creating unfair advantage over other candidates.

Make adequate preparation and get the DAT nailed the first time. Rewriting the DAT can both be expensive and frustrating.
