3rd Round Acceptances???

Is there such a thing as 3rd round acceptances? I know the first round of acceptances are sent out around Dec. 1st and the second round are sent out around Jan. 15th for most schools. But if for some unlikely reason a school does not fill its seat capacity after the second round acceptances, do they send out a third round? Just trying to get a grasp on this admission process.

At this point, I think it's safe to think that the process is completely rolling basis. Each school will have different adcom meeting dates and the schools will contact potential students according to their schedule. 🙂😀😎

Pretty much. I am sure each dental school sends out status update letters in rounds, but it will be very unclear when these "rounds" are after Jan 15th. 😀🙂😎

There is definitely a chance after January 15th. Tons of schools will continue to offer till their first day of class.

There are three rounds:

Dec. 1 (Nov. 30 this year)
Jan. 15
Feb. 1

However just because the rounds (or "waves") are over, doesn't mean acceptances are over! Some people interview and are accepted well into the summer.

There really aren't rounds of acceptances. It really depends on when the schools meet to make decisions on applicants. Some schools meet every week, other schools meet every other week. Acceptances are sent out once those decisions have been made.
