Hi,

I am a 3rd time applicant from Washington state with a 3.7c/3.7s and a 511 (127/127/130/127) MCAT looking for some help formulating a list of OOS schools this go around. My last cycle was 2017 at which point I received two interviews and was waitlisted at one school that I never made it off of. Of note, both application cycles were with my original MCAT score of 30 which expired in 2017.

New experiences that will go on my application this time around include:
-Scribing (1 year) part time while continuing to work at a biomedical research institute full time that I had been at since graduating in 2015.
-2 new publications (2nd authors - Heme and Nat. methods).
-3 months of clinical research coordinating at another institute full time (just started this job semi-recently).
-Various shadowing opportunities in a few different specialities (~100-200 hours).
-New volunteering with March of Dimes.

My list currently based on the MSAR and other research:
  • Medical College of Wisconsin
  • Creighton University School of Medicine
  • Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center
  • Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine
  • Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
  • George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences
  • Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine
  • University of Arizona College of Medicine
  • Michigan State University College of Human Medicine
  • University of Washington
  • Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (WSU)
  • Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine
My thinking is I should be adding some more schools here to ensure that I get in to at least one school this time.. Any suggestions? More DO schools maybe? Any input is very much appreciated!

Virginia Tech and Michigan State accept few non residents with your MCAT and no connection to the state or region. You could add all these schools:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
New York Medical College
Seton Hall
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Eastern Virginia
NOVA MD
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Loyola
St. Louis
California University (new school)

Thanks for the heads up! I'll look into these schools and revise my list.
