I just got my first acceptance, and this is my third application attempt! So for those of you that are bumming out, I know this doesn't take away the disappointment, but I have been there and I feel for you. Your day WILL COME! I had a 2.9 gpa from Cornell undergrad, so I went to graduate school and earned a Master's degree with a 3.7, and now I have an acceptance! The admissions office told me that getting the Master's made all the difference for my file. So if in 8 months you still don't have an acceptance; then GO TO GRADUATE SCHOOL!!! Dreams do come true!

I will second this, I was in the same situation, I am just finishing up my masters in chemistry and will be going to dental school in the fall!
