- cGPA and sGPA as calculated by AMCAS or AACOMAS: 4.0 (B.S. in Chemistry)
- MCAT score(s) and breakdown: 513 (131/127/129/126)
- State of residence or country of citizenship (if non-US): Texas
- Ethnicity and/or race: White Male
- Undergraduate institution or category: University of Texas at Tyler
- Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer): ~1200 hours as a PCA working around the hospital but focusing heavily in the medical and surgical intensive care units.
- Research experience and productivity: ~700 hours on a single biochemistry project which I have completed all work for and have 3 collaborating parties which asked to try the material in development for applications. I have given about a dozen presentations (poster and oral) on my work from the university to national level. I may get two publications on my work before I graduate in which I would be first author and co-author. I have won awards for my research presentations.
- Shadowing experience and specialties represented: ~50 hours shadowing general surgeons, trauma surgeons, and intensivists with some exposure to out-patient clinic hours, emergency medicine admitting, interventional radiology, and several specialties in internal medicine.
- Non-clinical volunteering: ~100 hours teaching chemistry and physics to children without a good science program, renovating parks for senior citizens, volunteering at the local food bank, planting trees, and putting on events at a local nonprofit dedicated to engaging kids in science.
- Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc): I am heavily involved in my university's American Chemical Society Student Chapter (elected president and secretary and expect to be re-elected president this week), I work for the chemistry department at my university grading, tutoring, and as a lab TA.
- Relevant honors or awards: I am a member of my university's Honors Program and have won academic awards from the chemistry department.
- Anything else not listed you think might be important: I expect all of my LOR's to be very strong and represent different angles of me. I have experience traveling abroad and have lived all around the US. I am happiest in locations which are not too industrial (big cities) and like to be surrounded by a natural setting. This is a heavy consideration for my school choice.

University of Colorado at Denver

Also considering, but application costs may become an issue:
University of Central Michigan
Brown
Emory
Are there any other schools I should consider adding to my list or consider not applying to? I'm concerned I may not be a competitive applicant to Mayo or Ann Arbor due to my MCAT, is this the case?
