Hi everyone! I'm currently putting together my application (hoping to submit June 1) and would love some help crafting a list of schools to apply to:
- 4.0 GPA, 520 MCAT
- I'm a bit nervous because I decided to test before taking 2 C/P prerequisites (due to life circumstances/ scheduling decisions). I have a C/P of 128 (86th percentile) though my other subsections were quite high, and I'm wondering if that may be a detriment at some top schools?
- Private liberal arts school; was a varsity athlete my first 2 years
- 3 years research experience (1800+ hours) with one conference poster presentation, as well as three in-school poster presentations and one small podium talk at my school. Will be listed as a first author on publication (though probably still 2-3 years away because the work is done at a small institution)
- 2 years volunteering at a local free health clinic (~200 hours) with significant patient interaction
- 3 years as a resident assistant (2000 hours), involved in leadership of several pre-health/science-interest groups on campus (200 hours), as well as a member of the executive board of my Greek organization (150 hours)
- Approx. 200 miscellaneous community service hours (through Greek life/ campus service orgs/ my religious community)
- About 100 hours shadowing across various specialties with LOE from one physician with whom I developed a good relationship
- (Significant reaches): Harvard, WashU, Hopkins, Columbia, Stanford...
- (Matched stats): Michigan, UVA, Duke, BostonU, Case Western
- (Above stats): Dartmouth, Tufts, Colorado, Georgetown
