Hi all,

Ok, I have a question. So, I'm at Berkeley right now and have a 4.0 😀. I want to apply like the day applications come out, but the problem is, my transcripts for this semester (spring 2009) don't come out till like mid June, but I don't want to wait that long to apply. In fact, I just want to apply with my 4.0. But, will it be viewed negatively if I don't wait till June till my spring 2009 transcript comes out? Ugghh, I hope that made sense?

better to apply early than wait it out. You are not counting on those grades.

You can still apply June 1st when it opens. Enter in all of your grades and the rest of the application. Then, all you have to do is wait for your transcript in mid-June....have your school send it in and your set. You will still be ahead of the game and your application will be in early, especially if you have your LOR, etc., in by the first week of June.

hey there!!! i was totally like this last year too!! (and i still am like this!) feel free to check out my predents page.

i didnt submit my aadsas until mid-june.... so that was about a month after aadsas opened. in your case, this year aadsas opens on june first - - so you will only have a twon week delay if you choose to wait. i waited for my grades, and it really didnt affect me at all. i got interview offers from every school i applied to - - i took interviews at 9 schools and have been accepted to seven schools thus far, with two scholarship offers. good luck with whatever you decide.

Ten years ago, 4.0s were herded off to med school and laughed at if they went to dental school. Obviously not anymore. No wonder the competition has gotten higher.

not much difference between a 3.9 and 4.0. sorry to burst your bubble!! you don't need a 4.0 to get into dental school. so your fine.

Thanks for the replies. RAKK: am totally pm'ing you in like ten minutes! I mean, ideally, I would get a 4.0 this semester too, but it's not as easy as it sounds, esp. since I'm taking physics and biochem, but we'll see.
