Hi I'm new to the forum and was just wondering is there any difference between completing your bachelors in 4 years and then going on to 2 years of pharmacy school? Also, is it frowned upon if one completes a non science major as long as the pre requisites are met?

I've never heard of a 2-year pharmacy school. Perhaps you meant 2 years of undergrad (w/o completing bachelors) + 4 years of pharmacy school. If you're asking about the difference between applying to pharm school after completing 4 years of undergrad and doing the "2+4" route, there are some pros and cons to both scenarios. Some schools don't require a bachelors degree, but there is a growing trend of applicants with at least a bachelors degree, so you do the math. There are some applicants who take the chance of applying to pharmacy schools after completing 2 years of undergrad without attaining a bachelors degree. Some schools, on the other hand, have a "2+4" route directly within their pre-pharmacy programs that can guarantee you a spot in their pharmacy schools. I suggest you to research some of the pharmacy schools you'd be interested in and see their requirements and overall stats.

You can major in anything you're interested in. It doesn't necessarily have to be science-related, but it may be easier to take care of the prereqs.

Is it possible to enter pharmacy school after doing 4 years of undergrad?
Dear lord, you need to do some serious research about the process. I'll help you now with these questions.

Pharmacy school is either 3 or 4 years. There are NO 2 year pharmacy schools.

Now where you might have become confused is Pre-pharmacy.
Some schools only require 2 years of pre-reqs before admission to their programs. Others require 3 or 4 years of pre-reqs before admission to their programs.

Next, having a bachelors will in no way hurt your chances at admissions. In fact it can only help.👍

like others have been saying I think you misunderstood the 2 year pre-reqs, still 4 years for undergrad is becoming the trend. Best of luck to you.
