Does getting an interview at your own state-school mean ****?

I'm a NJ resident, and so far I've gotten interviews from both NJMS and RWJ, but does that mean anything? Is it true UMDNJ offers interviews to most NJ residents anyway? Whats the percentage? I want to feel like I crossed some sort of hurdle... I just want to feel like i'm getting some authentic love here, you know, not that i'm soliciting it with tax dollars...

According to the 2003-2004 MSAR...

There were 952 in-state applicants
480 in-staters were interviewed

Finally, 124 in-staters ended up attending

There is no break-down for in-state and out of state UMDNJ, however.

thanks. was that the NJMS(Newark) or RWJ(NewBruns-Piscataway)?

only 952 in-state applicants? doesn't that sound kind of low?
though i know 97% of the class is always nj residents...

Hey Lapis-how did NJMS contact you (snail mail or email?) thanks + good luck
