4th year away rotations

My SO is an optometry student trying to plan her fourth year. I live in NYC and she would like to do a rotation here. She goes to New England College of Optometry in Boston. Is there any way she could set up a rotation in NYC?

Dear powermd,
Unlike "away rotations" for medicine, rotations for optometry are not "ad hoc". I'm right now going through the process of "certifiying" my hospital site as a 4th year rotation for 3 optometry schools.

It appears that each optometry school is different and each requires at least a 6-12 month lead time before students can actually "rotate".
