501 and interviewed this cycle?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I was offered 7 interviews, but went on 6. I also submitted my primary in October and secondaries in Nov/Dec.

Hopefully this helps!
Wow, that's awesome! Congratulations! Did you apply DO and MD? and your MCAT was around 501?

There is zero context included with this post. Provide some info. URM? Score? etc.

I get what your saying but the OP is asking if people get interviews with scores around that and he is saying that he did. He didnt ask for what other circumstances that allow of interviews that that score just asked if it can be done

Without context that still means absolutely nothing. Yes it is obviously possible, that goes without saying, people have interviewed with insanely low scores before, but there is always a reason as to why, this is important to note--I thought this all went without saying?

Sorry if there was any confusion. I just wanted to know if anyone had received II with that score. I am thinking of applying with a 501 and was seeing if it was even worth it or I should just retake.

Retake if it's possible for you to study enough and retake it in may - otherwise go for it if you're confident about what else you have besides the 501

You would be much better served in the "Should I retake" thread over in the MCAT discussion section.

Honestly, at 501 you should really re-take it. Searching wide for the exception is not any security for a roughly 1-year application process. Make sure you feel like you've put your best effort on the MCAT when you apply.

It really depends on where you're planning to apply, but as I'm sure you know the MD average is somewhere equivalent to 85%ile+ for their average matriculant MCAT and DOs aren't a walk in the park either. If you know you have it in you just study more seriously and try to get the best score you can.
