Current year: currently in 4th year at a CANADIAN university
cGPA:3.42
sGPA:3.3
GPA trend: has increased every year

AA: 20

ECs, LORs and all that pretty decent. Have good research experience + should become a co-author before I apply (paper has been in review/editing for 1 year...aka should be out soon).

Based on these stats what do you guys think?

You seem like a well-rounded applicant, I don't think you'll have too much difficulty getting in (of course it is harder for you as a Canadian so apply broadly!). Your GPA is a little low but nothing terrible. If I was you I would do the SMP, it will increase your marketability if you decide against dentistry or even if you want to pursue research within dentistry.
