Hey guys so today I took my DAT after exactly 6 weeks of studying while taking classes and here's my official breakdown:

Bio: 22
G. Chem: 22
Orgo: 24
PAT: 24
RC: 21

I feel pretty good about it and glad to be finally finished.

I have a 3.93 science GPA and 3.90 overall GPA. Plenty of shadowing hours, international mission trips, I'm an organic chem TA, and very involved in various health clubs.

Here's what I covered in 6 weeks:

- Completed the 2015 DAT Destroyer (once)

- Completed 9/14 Math Destroyer Tests (Untimed)

- Watched Gen. Chem Chads

- Went through Feralis Notes twice

- 2007 ADEA Test

Test 1: 19 28 30 21 23 21

- 2009 ADEA Exam

Test 1: 22 24 27 24 20 18

- 5 Bootcamp Tests
____ Bio GC Orgo PAT RC QR

Good luck to all of you on your journeys to become dentists!

I was expecting higher, but it was easier compared to bootcamp. I definitely made stupid mistakes somewhere in the orgo section which is driving me crazy. The test day nerves got to me for sure. It was gen chem that surprised me a bit and there were some tricky questions in there. Also, the reading comprehension section had a tricky passage that threw off my rhythm a bit. The rest was fair

I was handed pens and laminated paper as my scratch paper. I was expecting pencils and normal paper. The ink wasn't working in one of the pens and that bothered me. It also caught me off guard that you can't REVIEW marked questions until you get to the END of the entire section you're working on. Also, at the beginning of each section there's a tutorial and the timer STARTS on the tutorial. WTH?! That caught me off guard as well. Why the hell would they make the timer start counting down on the tutorial of each section instead of waiting until you get to the first question. I paid for the 2009 ADA Test expecting the test format to be identical to the real thing. FALSE. The real DAT is formatted just like the MCAT. That also pissed me off since I paid for it expecting them to be identical in format. Just a few test day surprises that caught me off guard so I had to improvise on the spot.
