Hey, I have just finished 2nd year. I failed my first and only course at the end of the year and I just remediated. I am feeling pretty burned out. I was supposed to take my Step in 4 weeks but I am considering taking a 6 month leave. I coudl relax for a month or so, start up for Step 1 after a vacation and perhaps do research for a couple of months and then join my class in rotations starting in January. This would mean that I graduate 6 months later and match a year later than planned. Has anyone out there done something similar? I am 27 and would like to get out of here in 4 years but I am just so burned out right now, I think it might be a good idea to recharge...I am also a little embarrased about a 5 year plan...If I took the boards I think I might pass but I would not have put in my best effort considering how I am feeling right now. But then again...I might feel just as overwhelmed in a few months when I am facing this test again...Maybe I should just get it over with and get on with my life...

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
