the serch bar isnt working for me, can someone please give me a list of the 6 year med-schools in the U.S. or atleast the thread that has them.

thanks

from what I remember when I was applying, there aren't any actual 6 year medical schools, just accelerated 6/6/8 year combined BA/S & MD programs. You'll do your undergrad in 2 or 3 years, with [almost] guaranteed admission into their associated medical school

the two I remember off the top of my head are NEOUCOM and UMKC. Try a Google search though. It did wonders for me👍

Oh yeah and good luck. They're all very, very competitive.

Moving to Pre-Allo as lists of medical schools is not an allopathic issue.

BU
USC
UCSD (though it's 8 years)

Rice/Baylor (8 years)

Linkage programs with early assurance can be good... but be wary of programs that cut years out of your education.

A 6-year program is going to have to substantially compress your undergraduate education in order to make everything fit into that tight timeline.

Be sure to research any program you apply to. You'll want to know about:

Attrition Rates
Boards Pass Rates
The Match (who goes where and how many don't match)

The University of Missouri Kansas City is a 6-year program. There are a few posters who attended (note, not graduated) the program; if you are able to, search for the previous threads on this subject because you'll notice their opinions of the school are hardly flattering

From what I understand, 6 year programs make you do your undergrad in 2 straight years (22 months or so - 12 to 15 months at a time), then you do a normal 4 years of medical school

thanks, can any of you use your search to find the thread with all of them? mine doesnt want to work
