MD & DO 61-71%, 3.45/3.44 GPA, School List?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you're wanting to stay in the Northeast, you should also give UNECOM a look. The school doesn't have much of a regional bias, though self-selection makes it appear otherwise. Plus they've got ratation sites in NJ and Western MA that could keep you close to home after 2nd year.

Thanks @Mad Jack. Will add UNE to the list. Any insight on chances at MD? I figured low, but maybe in-state schools worth a shot?

Got it. Any other MD's you would recommend to expand the list that are reasonable with my stats? Prefer Northeast, but open for nearly anywhere.

You are fine for DO schools. For MD you could add some of the newer schools and also try:
SUNY Buffalo
Sophie Davis (new school-apply when possible later this year)
Drexel
Commonwealth (PA)
Quinnipiac
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
California Northstate (new school)

Your DO school list looks good. Suggest adding MUCOM, Nova, and UNE COM and deleting OHCOM

DO
Touro- NY

Touro- NV
MUCOM

WCCOM
NYITCOM
KCCOM
OSUCOM

AZCOM
LMCOM
Western U COM
Western U COM- CA

Feel like the MD's might be a long shot, but any others I should apply to? Should I add a safety or two on the DO side? Maybe @Goro could help 🙂 ?

Thanks a lot.[/QUOTE]

Good DO list you'll get interviews. A 3.45/27 just isn't competitive for MD schools outside of your state schools unfortunately. Give the new MD's a try as Faha suggested but your focus should be on the DO's.
