The electronic configuration of a
particular neutral atom is
1s22s22p63s23p2. What is the number of
unpaired electrons in this atom?

The answer is 3 but I came up with 2.

Why is it 3?

Thanks

Hm, I came up with 2 as well. Maybe they were implying that there were 3 unfilled orbitals?
