I've never heard of not taking a non-science course for a semester (I guess it would be rare to do this for 2+ consecutive semesters) being a bad thing. Everyone's main concern is performing well with so many science classes, but it seems like you have that under control. Some people just want to/need to load up on their pre-reqs during the early years or to play catch-up. I don't see this as a problem at all.
