I just finished and am so relieved!!!

First off thank you so much everyone on here for your support and questions. I checked SDN daily and everyone's tips and reassurance helps so much. Reading through questions people posted helped tremendously!!! Several appeared almost word for word on my DAT. I followed DentalWorks' (big thanks!) schedule with my own adjustments. I went through the Destroyer 3 times full and certain questions I repeatedly got wrong 4-5 times. Then the Math Destroyer 2.5 times. The last 4 days before my exam I took practice exams and didn't score this high. I took the KBB test, ADA 2007 and 2009. The day before i relaxed and read over my bio outlines. I did not study at all for RC, except for the practice tests. PAT I did all 10 of CrackPAT. Its a pretty good estimate, however the real DAT is much more focused on rationalizing the size of figures (Keyhole). But cube counting is MUCH easier, and angles weren't horrible. Hole punching was very easy, as was pattern folding. Bio I was shocked because several questions were almost word for word Destroyer material and many more very similar. Orgo was not bad. GC and Orgo were not bad. Most of my orgo were rxns and thank God none were lab stuff. Well that was exhausting, but 10 weeks of 5-8 hours a day studying with one day a week light studying I am done! Good luck to everyone and believe in yourself. I kept telling myself yesturday I was going to get a perfect score, and even though I did not the optimistic outlook is definitely essential. Keep studying guys its worth it!!!!! Just think soon enough you'll be sitting in front of your comps with a cold one typing out something similar. Thank you so much for your help everyone!!

p.s. Selling KBB, Cliffs AP Bio, Barrons, Destroyer and Math Destroyer. PM if interested.

what do u mean by that? does it mean that the object really matches up to the answer choices? or is it like the Achiever?

I did not do achiever so I cannot say, but its more figuring out size differences versus differences in the figure's shape. ex. distinguishing slopes, side lengths, etc versus actual differences in structure.

i understand what he means, if you look at CDP its more about rotating the shape into the holes, meanwhile in topscore and achiever its more about seeing what shape can actually fit the object and then deciding if you have to rotate it. I believe thats what makes CDP easier in a way, the fact that you really just have to rotate the shape mentally (which is easier) than actually examining the shape and understanding where it can or cannot fit.

Its all about tricks, On the CDP I feel you just mentally rotate but on topscore, achiever and 2009 ada I just examined the outline of the shape to see where it can actually fit and then rotated it if necessary. It worked, I got about 13/15 for Keyholes and 13/15 for TFE.
