Hey guys,

I know some colleges have 7 year programs or something where you can just apply as an undergrad sophmore and try to get in. University of Florida just opened up their 7 year program for people not enrolled at UF so they can apply also. I was just wondering if anyone has more information about stuff like this or knows of anyone who applied to another school's 7 year program and got in? Thanks!

I've never heard of these - they may be worth knowing about...

They're called BS/MD programs, and if you do a little digging there's plenty of information about them. The one you're talking about at UF is an early acceptance program because you apply to the program in college, not in high school.

I was wondering, are BS/MD programs harder, easier, or the same to get into than BA/MD programs?

The terms are interchangeable, so they're basically the same thing.

I recall these programs were pretty brutal, something like only 256 going in (whom all had extraordinary HS stats) , and only like 4 or so coming out. I don't know the details but they supposedly drop half the class at constant intervals.
