Do you think i need to do an SMP. The last two withdrawals were pretty recent and I don't have a great explanation for them other than mental health issues/burnout. I'm willing to go to any DO school.

I have below average EC's

No, but I can't recommend med school until your mental health issues are taken care of. If you have a downward GPA trend, then an SMP migh tbe needed.

My last year I have got almost a 4.0. (It also took me 5 years to complete my degree. Also most of my prereqs were completed in community college where I got A's in all of them. Most of my semesters were in the 3.7-4.0 range but I had 2 semesters where I got 3.0s. It is all because of mental health issues that I've sorted. I also go to a pretty good public school; University of California.

Can you re-read my second post please. I edited and I dont know if you read it before you replied.

You should be good to go then. But still, goin into this eyes open. Medical school is a furnace, and I've seen it break even healthy students. The #1 reason my school loses students to withdrawal, dismissal or LOA is to unresolved mental health issues.

OP I've got the same amount of W's. Also, our stats are nearly identical. I've been accepted to two schools so far and I have some interviews coming this month. Honestly, I don't think W's are a big issue. Just be prepared to answer questions about why they are on your transcript.
