I was wondering when did the PharmD degree become the only accepted degree to practice as a pharmacist? Was it in 1990?

Also, what is the difference between Bachelor of Sciences of Pharmacy versus Bachelor of Pharmacy degree...did both allow you to practice as a pharmacist before the pharmD degree was mandated by the AACP?
