I don't post a lot but since I've had a lot of help and advice from the site, I thought I would post my experience.

PA: 24 99.5 percentile
QR: 23 95.9 percentile
RC: 16 17.1 percentile 👎
Bio: 20 87.4 percentile
GC: 29 100 Percentile
OC: 25 98.0 percentile
TS: 23 98.3 percentile
AA: 23 98.1 percentile

PAT: It was really simple, nothing more than kaplan PAT (I mean the online practice tests, not the blue book)

QR: It was tougher than I thought. I was getting 23-26 on kaplan practice test (again, online ones) and ended up getting my lowest expected. I practiced with kaplan subject tests and topscore. The probability problems weren't too bad but some of the word problems are extremely complicated without a picture and I had to completely guess.

RC: I was always worried about this section and I failed once again. I was getting 18s on practice tests but I was really nervous on the real DAT. It seemed so hard to me and couldn't even start the moral/ethics passage.

Biology: I studied Kaplan, topscore, campbell, schaum's bio. Although I put so much effort into this section, it seemed the hardest of the whole natural science section. My best advice is study the campbell and do the online problems (you can only access these with a valid code). The questions are very detailed.

GC & OC: I studied gchem and ochem texts, kaplan, and topscore. gchem was mostly conceptual as everyone says. I had about 10 calculations but they were very simple and I didn't have to do them on the paper. know the definitions well, theories behind calculations rather than memorizing the formulas. For orgo, Kaplan has all the knowledge you need for the tests, but knowing the mechanisms will definately help you work through some of the reaction problems.

What do you guys think of my chance is considering my gpa = 3.7 bcp = 3.89? I am still worried about my low RC score. Good luck to you all!

First of all,

👍👍👍👍

and then

😀😀😀😀😀

I think people are not responding to you because you already know the answer of the question... of course you are gonna be just fine!

good luck on the rest of the app. process, job well done.

Great scores! I wanted to ask how you thought the Kaplan tests (online ones) for Gchem and Ochem compared to the real DAT...

I thought Kaplan subject tests online are so much harder than the real dat as far as gchem and orgo are concerned. On gchem subject test, I was getting 74 % and 77 % and on orgo subject tests 82% and 85%. I ended up getting 29 and 25 on them respectively. However, I always put myself under pressure with time constraint and tried to finish as much as possible within the time period. If I had more questions to answer, I did them anyway afterwards before I looked at the answers. This is how I approached the best time management during the real DAT. After finishing the natural science section, I had more than 20 min left and I spent it checking my answers.

If you are talking about the full length DAT practice tests:
gchem and orgo of the practice tests are a bit harder than the real DAT. I was getting 20-23 on both gchem and orgo. as far as the AA is concerned, I started diagnostic with 18 and raised my score to constant 21s at the end of the course. I hope it helps. Good luck!

Thank you jigabodo! You are very active on this site and I had a lot of advices from your posts. I really appreciate it. 😀

Dude or dudette, your rocked the DAT. Forget that 16 RC: any school that can't look past that and give you an interview is a school you don't want to attend. You WILL get in, for sure. I probably had the same crappy reading selections (moral and ethics), didn't like it. English is overrated, anyway, Spanish is the way forward, hahaha. High-five for the perfect gen-chem, yeah!

Thanks, because I felt that some of the subject tests were REALLY hard, I'm glad to hear that the real DAT is not that bad, or so it seems...
