Do you guys think I need to retake the DAT eventually. I have time because I'm applying for 2009, and am going to be a junior in undergrad. However, I really do not want to go through the whole process again if I dont have to. With A 3.3 GPA (probably 3.4 GPA by time of application according to trends) do you think I will need to retake it. I have enough extracirriculars/shadowing/research and am on the board for 2 student organizations if that matters for anything. Im not picky about schools and plan on applying to about 12-15 schools. Thanks a lot.

you will have a real hard time getting into dental school with two 16's and one 17 if you are not minority no matter what else you have. schools are seeing over 3,000 applicants now for about 80 or so spots. there WILL be at least 400 of those that are given interviews that have all above 20s. unless you have something super spectacular about yourself, you will need to retake the DAT to level the playing field. i'm not just saying this....i'm a reapplicant and had to retake the DAT. goodluck though, you have time since you are a junior.
